Developed by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and designed by the legendary Frank Gehry, the landmark will become one of the Middle East's leading cultural venues and one of Gehry's final architectural masterpieces.
What is Dar Al Funoon?
Meaning "House of the Arts," Dar Al Funoon will host opera, ballet, theatre, orchestral concerts, musicals, jazz, festivals, and contemporary performances throughout the year. It will also support artist residencies, workshops, international collaborations, and community programs, making it a vibrant cultural hub operating 365 days a year.

The iconic design features flowing, fabric-inspired architecture, transparent glass façades, and welcoming public spaces that celebrate creativity and cultural exchange while blending beautifully with Saadiyat Island's waterfront setting.

The complex will accommodate over 6,000 visitors across multiple venues, including:
- 2,000-seat Grand Performance Hall for opera, ballet, theatre, musicals, and orchestral concerts.
